You qualify if all of these apply:

City of Bend water customer — service address must receive a Bend Water bill
Existing irrigated turf grass at the project address
No minimum project size — any amount of irrigated turf qualifies
Entire irrigation zone must be converted — partial zone conversions are ineligible
Project must be submitted and approved during April 1 – October 31
You have not started any work — pre-approval required before removal
Project must be completed within 90 days of approval
Converted landscape must be maintained for 5 years (repayment required if not maintained)

You will be disqualified if any of these apply:

Started work before receiving pre-approval
Project completed outside the April–October program season
Only converted part of an irrigation zone — entire zone conversion is required
Replaced turf with artificial grass or impermeable concrete
Did not convert irrigation in the project area to drip or efficient method
Project not completed within 90 days of approval

What can I replace the turf with?▾

Water-wise plants, native plants, ornamental grasses, or permeable gravel and rock mulch. All planted areas must have drip or efficient micro-spray irrigation, and all bare soil must be covered.

How is the rebate paid?▾

By check, issued after Bend Water Services verifies the project through photo documentation and review.
